Special solutions
With induction heating
As an innovative solution provider of induction heating, Himmelwerk enjoys working on particularly challenging tasks. These can come from any industrial and scientific application areas.
Special solutions from Himmelwerk
We use induction technology to generate plasma, which is used, for example, for the production of glass fibres. The performance of glass fibre reinforced plastics can also be strengthened by plasma treatment.
We are involved in the nuclear fusion research of the international research project ITER. Because here plasma flows are generated inductively, among other things. A highly exciting project that has kept us on our toes since 1994.
Inductively activated adhesive layers have already been realised many times with Himmelwerk's high-frequency technology. We use induction technology simply and effectively, especially for metal-non-metal connections, metal-metal connections and for bonding processes in the plastics sector.
We are currently working with several partners in industry and research on the induction heating of materials or layers that are mixed with magnetic nano particles. This opens up completely new applications in the targeted heating of materials that could not previously be heated by induction heating.
We also use induction heating to detect faults in components. Due to a relatively short pulse duration of high-frequency inductive energy, defects within a metallic component can be detected online.
